Ben had to go back to England on Monday night because he had to be at work Wednesday morning. Before we took him to the airport we made a mad dash around Best Buy and the supermarket.
What was nice was neffy William brought his guitar to the hospital and he and Ben took turns playing for dad.

Mom and Ben and Dad

Mom and her favorite doctor

Since dad seemed to pick up instead of him going to a hospice they were going to send him to rehab. He went to Innova on a Tuesday and to tell you the truth the nurses and aides were dreadful. They never came when we rang the bell even though they were sitting at the nurses' desk opposite dad's room. Plus they decided that we had to wear masks bcause they said that dad tested positive for MRSA even though when dad was in hospital we didn't. Marla in mask.

On Saturday dad started being sick and then complained of chest pains. The ambulance came and too him to ER. We were there from 4pm until 2am when they took him up to the 7th floor. During the time we were in the ER with him we thought we were going to lose him. He said goodbye to all of us. He started talking to is late parents and 3 of his siblings but they didn't answer back and he was upset with that. We guess it wasn't his time to go.
The nurses and aides were wonderful on the floor.
Dad slept alot but he seemed to have improved. His heart doctor said his heart was fine and could go for another 20 years.
While he was there Mom had a birthday so we had a party in dad's room.

My Aunt Marcie (mom's sister) came to see dad with her daughters Roz and Sandi. It's been so long since I've seen any of them although Roz came to visit me in England in 1980.

The day I was leaving for England dad came home. Mom arranged for a hospital bed to be delivered for him.
